"The Department of Robotics and Automation, introduced in the 2021-2022 academic year. The department focuses on providing a solid foundation in engineering basics and practical problem-solving. The program encompasses planning, designing, constructing, and operating robotic devices, with an emphasis on computer systems, sensors, feedback, and information processing. Through project-based learning, students gain skills in designing, fabricating, interfacing, installing, and troubleshooting industrial robots and automation systems. They also explore portable mobile robotics and animatronics, enhancing computational thinking and coding skills. Equipped with advanced labs, the department prepares students for global employment by solving complex industrial problems and instilling moral, ethical, and social values.
The department is equipped with cutting-edge technology and resources to enhance both theoretical and practical learning. Key facilities include the Fanuc ER4iA 6 Axis Robot, offering advanced robotic automation training, and comprehensive software tools such as Automation Studio, Fanuc Robo Guide, LabView, ALTAIR Hypermesh, ANSYS, and SolidEdge, which support a wide range of engineering and simulation tasks. Additionally, students have access to CNC milling and turning machines for hands-on machining experience. The department also emphasizes holistic development through its Career Development Programme, regular technical lectures, and industrial visits. Engagement with societal projects and participation in technical exhibitions further enrich the learning experience, ensuring students are well-prepared for professional challenges. Students enhance their knowledge by participating in the various events at international, national, state level and secured the many prizes.
1st Symposium- KRITAAYU will be conducted on 5th July 2024. All are invited to participated in the various events like Roborace, Line following robot, project expo, quiz and many more and exchange the technical knowledge, exhibit your skills in the field of Robotics and Automation."
